1/16 is a series of small, high quality artist books that aims to showcase current developments in Georgian art, making them interesting and accessible to more people, both in Georgia and abroad. It is our goal to keep the series as diverse as we can, inviting the most exciting authors of different age and experience, working in various genres and areas of creativity.
An artist book is intended and designed for reproduction, with each copy considered an original work of art. Its value lies not in its uniqueness, but in its accessibility. For the artist, it provides an autonomous medium to communicate creative ideas. For the viewer, it is a portal into the world of art.
